Obituary for Archie Sanchez

Archie Sanchez, age 84, resident of Albuquerque, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017. Archie enjoyed the beautiful outdoors, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He appreciated many types of sports and coached baseball for many years. Archie was devoted to his wife and family, had a strong belief in God that never wavered. He had a longtime career as a Life Insurance Agent and he was a dedicated serviceman in the United States Air Force.
Archie is survived by his wife of 61 years, Josie; daughters, Stephanie Gonzales preceded in death by husband, Steve, Denise Sanchez and husband, Charles, Susan Vallez, Monica Sanchez and fiancée, Elizabeth Montano, and Lisa Keys and husband, Daryl; sons, John Sanchez and wife, Carmen and Richard Sanchez and wife, Diane; 14 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Dolores Prince. He is preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Isidro; and sisters, Alice and Kathryn.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2017, 10:00 a.m., at FRENCH – Wyoming with Tim Thomason officiating.
